need help removing PAIR system on a 90'
Hello
I recently purchased a 1990 CBR 1000f from a friend only to find out its a California model with the PAIR system on it. I have been reading other posts about it, but have yet to find one that describes the removal of one? If anyone has performed this procedure and has any advice, tips, or pics would be a great help! thanks for your time

ok so i took a look at the system on my bike, i see the four hoses going in the motor just above the headers. i assume those will need to be plugged any ideas on that? then i see the ones from the carbs, i believe some said leave those open..? i dont see anything going to be gas tank but on the diagram on the air box shows it...? and then the canister below the headers can that go? and the 2 things by the coil packs can those go too?

Yes, you have to plug the hoses that go into the exhaust manifold. They are there to inject fresh air into the exhaust to more fully burn the gases.
I believe the 2 little things by the coil packs are actually the valves if I remember correctly. They should be able to go.... but they are actuated by vacuum from the carbs.
They either need plugged... or connected to work against each other, I cant' remember.
When I did mine, I just did it while the bike was running in order to see what difference each hose made in the way it ran.
The 90 is a little bit different from my 95 model, tho.
Maybe if you posted pics, it would help me more.
