What is the casing that goes over the chain on the motor that has the Speedo cable going into it? What section of a micro fische would I find it on?

Are you talking about the front sprocket cover?

It is the sprocket cover but its called 'COVER ASSY., L. RR.--#11650-MZ2-610
under the water pump section of micro fische.

If your in there, replace (17) 44808-MR7-013 Join, speedometer
It will save you from replacing it later.

I hope you weren't going fast. Chains coming off is a frightening possibility. Be thankful you still have your left leg in tact. If that cover is all that's damaged think yourself lucky.

Yea I was under heavy acceleration, close to 90 mph. I consider myself lucky, and have the intentions of going after the chain manufacturer for the damages. It was a new chain put on 2 Weeks ago.

Not all chains are created equal. Just because they're same size doesn't mean they have the same properties. Don't cheap out on chains.

If it had a clip type master link, the clip needs to be put on correctly or IT WILL come off under acceleration.

No I did not replace the sprocket, however u will need to now because the chain broke of a tooth. I went with a wps chain, which I will not be buying again. And I did install the master link the correct direction. Riotous yall recommend going with OEM sprocket, or a aftermarket size.
