My 1000FM, sitting 4 years to a runner in one weekend.
I started another thread as to my 1000fm that has been sitting for 4 years covered in a Honda Fitted cover in a garage. Here - https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-1000f...o-sort-144874/
Heres the pictures, it was filthy when I got it, and the front brakes were seized with worn out pads.
New Pads
Front caliper rebuild,
Oil down the bores
turned over in gear, by hand, plugs out.
Brand new plugs back in
Drained old fuel, added new.
New oil and filter
Eventually she fired up and idled perfectly!
Then came the mamoth clean, fairings off and everything cleaned.
It still needs a polish and a wax.
The service book shows the last Honda service being at 16000 miles... 4000 miles ago and 15 years ago!
MOT test as soon as the good old british weather eases up.

Man, she looks nice. Very nice.
Well done mate. You must have been beaming all over after hitting the button and hearing her spring to life. I envy you that moment. Satisfaction don't come better than that.
I hope you have as many enjoyable miles other as I have on mine and everyone else around here.
Loving the colour of those pipes. Keep em clean and they'll last well.
Don't wait for the weather. You could be waiting for a long time. Just get togged up and get out there, as long as the tyres are in good nick.
These bikes have better weather protection at speed than you'd think.
