Loaded Touring Suspension Settings?
Hi Guys,
As some of you may know, i'm heading off for a big tour soon on the cbr1000fp. We'll be fully loaded with 3 givi panniers and about 27 stone (378lbs) of human weight too, mostlt my weight, lol.
I was wondering if anyone knew a rough starting point for rear suspension settings. I've only checked the preload and i have 24 clicks left to harden it up if i need them (it's 24 clicks out at the moment).
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks, Gaz
P.S. Bike feels fine at the monent even with a passenger but i haven't tried it will the panniers full yet.

I'd say it'd vary too much from bike to bike (condition of springs, shocks etc.) for any definite settings. One thing you could do, since it rides ok two up atm, is measure the sag with you and your passenger on, then add the luggage and adjust the preload so it's the same sag as just people onboard. Will you put a bit more air in the tyres too?
