im a NOOB and buying my first "cane" today
Haha I've been reading a little here and there on this site an I'm 99.9% sure I'm picking up a 94 CBR 1000F!!! Im almost 22 and its gonna be my first street bike!! Although I'm familiar with bikes. I ride dirtbikes and atvs.. I'm pretty stoked about this bike. A comfortable fast reliable great all around bike?!?! From what I've read on this site... ill post pictures when I pick her up!! They says its 100$ solid. And not a scratch on her. MINT condition. $2500 it has 21000 miles good deal?

'94, my favorite year.LOL
It's a good deal for the price. You can't buy much bike these days for under that.
She may be old on paper but she is young at heart and still spirited.
Big bike to start out on. My 24 yr old son dropped mine last year. They are a little more top heavy than what you are use to so, plan accordingly.

re: price...for $2500 it better be perfectly clean and 100% in every way. I mean, if it's nice, and mechanically all good, it's not a huge ripoff or anything, but If you search and are a little patient you can find a perfect one for that money.
Also, please take the MSF course. This is a big bike for a first bike, and that heft will have a tendency to amplify mistakes.

I dont know if i should admit this but when i got mine last feb we gently got her off the trailer outside my house, i fired her up, turned her round to go in the garage AND halfway through U turn i layed her on her side DOH !!
Luckly only a light scuff on the fairing bumper.
That was a QUICK lesson in how to respect her.

Welcome mate! Sound like a great bike with bugger all (for one of these) miles!
+1 on watching the weight. They're heavy old girls and the steering lock comes on sooner than I was used to.
I dropped mine 1 week after getting it swinging into a parking space and leaning too far for the lock!
One other thing to really watch. Corners come up mighty fast at 140mph+ and these bikes take a while to pull up so FFS take some time to experiment before you go ape5hit!! Have fun.
