Post HID Headlight kit

HI,just want to know if anybody has any experience installing these kits and
the results.I'm not to happy with the stock light, but I may also consider
installing a Piaa H4 bulb,if it fits.Sorry if this has been asked before, just looking for some fresh inputs.

Yes it's been asked and the basic answer was - it depends which bulbs your bike has.

The US bikes had a H4H bulb fitted that is unique to bikes and expensive - there are not too many HID kits available for this fitting if any at all any more.

Some guys have managed to clip a lug off the standard H4 bulbs to make them fit the H4H headlamp ( cant find the thread on this mod at the moment.)

UK and European bikes have normal H4 bulbs like a car - you can get a H4 Bi-Xenon kit for a car that will go straight in. It helps if you find one with slim balast units so they can be placed inside easier.

H4H listing right here

Been constantly looking at these but not convinced they keep a tight beam

You can put the regular H4 bulbs in no problem. I just cut the bottom lugs off and stick 'em in, and have never had an issue. Some folks get tricky and put a straight bit of coat hanger across the back of the bulb, then bend the tabs up around it to hold it in place, and this makes the wire bit fit nicely into the H$H tab spots.

I got my cheap eBay HID projector Kit in the mail yesterday in the next few weeks I will make up a mount for them (they aren't going int he standard light). I should have some pics on the beam if you are interested.

The projector beam will be different to the 'HID bulb in the stock light' setup though.

Tim.
