Default Help save a 1000f from salvage

I have a very nice 92 1000F that I have owned for 12 years. The bike was tipped over in a parking lot and the cowl/fairing cracked. The insurance company totaled the bike and I bought it back from the insurance of course. During the re-registration process however, the bike had to be brake and lamp inspected (as salvage vehicle protocol). It did not pass due to a 5 cm crack on the headlight which has been there for years!!!

It has been over a year and I have not found a used headlight replacement. New they want $400 - I do not have the money.

ANYONE have a headlight I could borrow for a couple weeks? LOL I'd pay to rent it LOL

Im in California....

How do you have a 92 in California, considering 92's weren't sold in the US?

^^ I see a lot of 1st generation headlights .... no 2nd generation.

The bike was first "sold" in 1992, California model. It was manufactured in 1990
