I'm having a hard time finding fuel hoses that go from the fuel pump to the carbs on my 1988 1000 Hurricane. Any ideas on where I can buy them?

 

If it were me I'd get rid of the pump and gravity feed it. Pumps fail and don't do anything for performance.

 

Hi is this really an option. I too am trying to source fuel pipes for my '88 fj. Can the fuel pump just be removed and gravity feed straight to the inline filter?

 

Yes, its been done many times here. I have a '94 so haven't needed to do the mod but I think you may need a reducer in the line.

Dump the pump - and I found the best option then was to pull the carbs are reverse the
feed pipe to be fed from the right side with a generic piece of fuel line back around the
back fuel tank into the petcock just as it is on the Gen 2 and Gen 3 bikes.
It resolved the issue of the line constantly getting kinked when being fed from the left side.
