Default FT Carb balance,How hard can they make it

After reading my Honda manual for sync'ing the carbs decided to have a go as i have a set of Carb tune pro gauges. The manual just says connect to the vacuum take off points,No1 being the fuel tap vacuum point. This is easy to find and get to,No 2 is on a flexy line with rubber cap hanging down between the carbs so found that one.No 3 is just a rubber cap onto the inlet, impossible to reach unless the fairing comes off and no 4 is a M4 cap head screw into the inlet stub.Took me 2 hrs just to get at the connectors and then when connected up you cant reach the adjuster screws on the throttle links without a special tool. Why not have a rubber hose with a cap on like no2 carb on all the carbs clipped up on top so you see all of them and actually connect your gauges easily. It has wound me to a frenzy,it should be a simple job to do.Thats it moan over.

Hey Mr C, if it was easy every one would do it!

Did you look at Naga_Thai's fantastic "How To"?

I have read it all this afternoon after struggling with it all day yesterday.Still dont know what they were thinking making a regular service item so tricky to do.Although now i know it wont take half as long next time.Huge amount of info on this site, really really helpful if you are not to impatient to crack on instead of learning it first.

I went through it too, and it is tough, I now have two pairs of long hemostats and needle nose pliers from harbor freight, will make the next time much easier.
