Lightbulb Front brake line

Off the bat........

About how much slack can you get out of the stock front brake line .?

Trying to figure out how much rise I can plan for with a new set of
Riser clipons ? LSL , Woodcraft, Convertibars etc.

Leaning towards a woodcraft 2 1/2 inch set. ....... Just wondering !

From my experience with my 95, I'd say you're asking the wrong question. I run out of throttle cable slack before the brake line goes. I'm running adjustable bars with about a 4 inch rise over stock, at the bar ends, with the stock lines, but, this number may not be applicable to other bars. Heli bars, for example, I think have a rise in the bars at the clamp, while my bar height at the clamp is close to stock, so I'm not really needing much longer lines to get this rise.

I had to run everything round the outside of the fork tube and undo the top clamping bracket to release the brake hose to fit the VFR bars. Seemed ok for a temp fix, as I want to replace all the lines anyway.

Thanks , pretty much answers things for me. So I should be okay Paco with a 2 1/2 or 3 inch rise then. Good ideas there Michelle outside the tube that is ......maybe I'll fab' a bracket/clamp or something for the outside run somehow.

I took a piccie for you ... there are 3 clamps on the hoses. We just took out the middle one and pulled the line up a bit.
The throttle cables seem quite happy to sit where they are, although I have them tied to the wire for the grip heater.
