Fork Seal DIY
#11
#15
I have done fork seals three times between me and my dad's canes, and once on my dual-sport. I have used a length of PVC longer then the chrome tube with a block of wood and a rubber mallet using the old seal to protect and help drive in the new seal.
You get pretty much one try, if for any reason you have to remove the new seal it can fail in the future rapidly. I used fork oil to help lubricate the new seal. I have also used wheel bearing grease which seemed to work better.
