Default Fairing adaption

Alright, so basically i aquired a 1990 1000F for cheap. however it did not come with fairings, well it came with very few... A guy i work with has a 91 cbr 600 F2 and is giving me all of his fairings, my question is, has anyone here adapted fairings from a different bike on to the 1000? and can anyone provide pics/ level of difficulty? anything that maybe swaps straight on without too much modification?
I am by no means afraid of doing some cutting/ glueing to make things fit. i have access to many different types of automotive adhesives and tools.
to answer anyones questions as to me running it naked. i am only riding it naked for the summer if i cant figure something out soon.
Cheers,
Sean.

You can make anything fit with enough hard work, but I wouldn't think a CBR600 F2 would be a good starting point.

Years ago, someone on here fitted a Blackbird nose cowling onto their MK2 and it fitted pretty well.

Agree with Hawk.
Firstly all the fairing sections on the 1000F interlock together - all the way to the tail.
They get their cohesive strength from the system - you don't want a fairing coming loose at 125MPH - it'll ruin your day....................LOL
I'd try to find some secondhand items on e-Bay - new ones are impossible. There are manufacturers in Germany and South America (Argentina) that'll make you a new set but the postage alone would cripple most of us.............the set runs at around $600 as I recall.

Yeah, I found one set in Germany.. I have been looking everywhere for fairings to no avail. I will keep looking, I really only need the belly section and the top part. Everything else I have!!

I have a nose cone Lazy Legs from a 92 I'm parting out. I'm in Australia though and I know the postage wouldn't be cheap but the offer is there. Its red but could be repainted of course.
