Okay guys my brother and I were in the process of building a 1992 GSXR 750 as a Drag bike, but my brother has fallen in love with the bike, so we went and picked up a 1991 CBR 1000f with 40000 miles excellent condition for $1500.00...Since we feel we got such a good deal on the bike we have decided to just build it as a drag bike... I understand the frames are all steel and heavy, but we do not care since its just for fun....Anyways off subject there...we was wondering if anyone has pictures of their hurricane that has been stretched? We have looked all over the internet and cannot find one single picture....We are very interested in seeing what it will look like...We are going to extend this one 12 inch's, is what we are thinking...Any help would be grand...thanks again also where is a good place to get a wind screen, and the little caps that go on the side fairings...Someone laid the bike over and it cracked the clutch side....Here is a picture of the new member of the family

I have built my own swing arms on all my bikes so far....My brother built a type or work bench with a frame clamp that will hold the swing arm while we weld...that way it is straight, Im not going to lie to you...he is the fabricator of the family lol...I just do the mechanic work and painting...here is a picture of one swing arm....Hard to tell I know, but its the only picture of my bike on this computer phone

 

so you are actually extending the stock one and not replacing the whole unit, very nice. when you take this under way id like to see pictures and measurements so i could possibly duplicate your setup.

 

Not my cup of tea I will say what a great deal you got on your CBR1k. I also understand that there maybe someone that does not like what I have done to mine either Ride safe

I'm not big on the swingarm extension thing, either, but it's your bike and if it's gonna be traveling in a straight line for the rest of it's life....
Plus, it's the same model that Shadow and Sprock have, so I say chop away....

Find a GSX 1000R and stretch that - no-one will care.
