Default exhaust compatibility?

I searched and couldn't come up with a definitive answer... I have an opportunity to pick up a kerker header back system for an 88, and my bike is a 90. Is the fitment close/workable?

Thanks,
John

I seem to recall that they are different, but Sprock will be able to answer the question - he has all 3 models

Yeah, pretty sure MK2 & MK3 are interchangeable, but MK1 is different.

really the main difference is where the collector box bolts up under the gearbox
The MK1 was further forward the mk2 /3 further aft ! (I know fishing has me in it's grips atm)
Also the pipe cover mounts are always a consideration and require fabricating brackets
Sometimes the link pipes of the aftermarket pipes prevent the covers going back on
especially the gear shift side - pain in the *** in fact ( I just left them off)

Is the kerker a dual or single setup ? & stock downpipes ? or are we just talking cans ?

If just cans no issue except making brackets for the pipe covers and or potentially trimming them
a bit depending !

I any event they can be made to work quite easily imo

Ah, thank you for the info. More than I really want to undertake with my schedule. Here's the ad, has a Corbin saddle as well. I emailed him earlier, he said he'd sell the exhaust and seat seperately. Not a terrible deal on the bike either.

^ That is a nice looking deal on that bike.

I don't believe that Corbin will fit either.

yeah that's a corbin mk1 seat - no petcock hole - seat rim is shallow in that area
only good for 87 88 Hurricane

I have a 87-88 Vance and Hines ssr-2 exhaust on my 90. its a 4-1 header, not the 4-2-1 header. I can't run a center stand, the exhaust is in the way. I wouldn't have done it this way, but I bought it off Craigslist this way.

Hey John.

That bike and seat are in Gig Harbor, just across the bridge from me.

Where are you located? If you don't buy the seat, I'd like a chance at it
