Question Duvall, WA - Local Carb Synch Help?

I read, re-read, and re-re-read tons of posts on how to synch your carbs on a cbr1000f, felt totally confident that I could pull it off. Decided to rip all my plastics off anyways since this is a new to me bike, and dbl check everything. When I finally get down to attempting the carb synch, note: printed out pages of instructions, I found to my horrible surprise my carbs didnt even come close to looking like the pictures. Back to the drawing boards.

So.. find out that in 93 the carbs changed.. and low and behold I have the harder of the two to synch, as the location to attach the tool is under the carbs.. another

So.. now here i sit, bike apart in the shop, motion pro tool in shop, and totally lost now.

Any local late model cbr fellas around that are interested in swinging by to give me a hand? Preferably someone with childlike hands that could actually reach under the carbs..

What I did on mine was REMOVE the carbs (disassemble the bike), then attach the hoses for the sync guages, then reassemble everything with the hoses dangling. THen you just hook the hoses to your gauges and go. You can even leave them in place (zip tie them somewhere) for easy future syncing.

Yep, thats what I'm thinking of doing now.. Still standing back 10 feet and analyzing it all before I dig in any further.. im one of those cautious fellas.. think Ill go down to the hardwarw store and get some equivalent length hose and making permanent extensions.. not that I'll be synching carbs much but will be handy for future use.

got it... finally got it fingered out ended up loosening the choke slide to get to the adjustment screws though.

1993 with 15k on it, and 1 and 4 were way off...

Glad you figured it out, man.
Wish I would have see this earlier. I have a '95 and have synced mine a couple times. It's a pain in the azz for sure, but not terribly bad, I guess.....
