Default Drilling slides

It's a much discussed subject on a lot of Forums. Some jet kits come with
drill bits some don't. Some Jet outfits promote drilling slides , others warn
against it - saying once drilled you cannot go back - (which is BS all you do
is epoxy the drilled hole and re-drill a stock size)

Just wondering any one done it the their Hurricane ?

Anyone have opinions on the merits of doing it ?

there's a little breather hole in each carb piston/slide Bordo that serves as a pressure
equalizer / regulator that dictates how quickly the diaphragm / slide / needles raise
or lower when you twist the throttle

Some say enlarging that hole can lead to quicker response time and by default better
throttle response - but then some say otherwise - just wondering if any "old heads"
here had tried it out.

Might get a set of used slides and give it a go to find out if this thread comes up zero.

Having rejetted my 90 last year I'm thinking she may benefit from this only one way
to know - someone has done it - or as I said give it a go myself

No worries buddy. If I want a quicker response I either tell the wife she has put on a few kg this week or I get on the Blackbird.....

If it ain't broke.....
If its running fine I would leave it alone.
My thoughts are that if you go big bore you may benefit, just a guess.
I drilled the them on an MG and couldn't tell any difference.

That's the point, "if it's running fine"

It's maybe fine but it's not optimal !

An MG - well there's a lot of things one might not be able to readily
assess with one of those suckers
