Default Center stand compatability

All
When I bought find 94 1000F it came with a Two Brothers exhaust and no center stand. Looking to go back to stock exhaust and would like to find another center stand for her. There are a bunch on ebay. Question is are all the center stands 87-96 the same. They all look the same. thanks

I don't know for certain, but i would imagine that the 89' onwards sc24 models should have the same center stand, but not sure about the earlier 87-88 sc21 models.

If in doubt then i'd say go for a '93 onwards one to be sure.

Sorry i can't be more help, hopefully another member will chime in and confirm for sure.

Thanks that does help. I was just curious as I found a 88 center stand for a really good price. I compared the two pictures from ebay, one from a 96 and the 88 they look identical. The price difference was about 20 bucks. Both had free shipping. I may go with the 96 as that would fit for sure.

Hope you get it sorted - I had a micron 4-1 exhaust system on my old 1kf and had to do away with the center stand, but the '93 i have recently bought has a stainless 4-2 system and retains the center stand which is very useful for rear wheel removal and chain oiling.

Yea I may go with a 4-2 after market exhaust also, maybe a Delkevic.
The Two Brothers is a 4-1 and LOUD. lol What exhaust do you have? All I know is I am definitely getting a center stand back, I cant stand doing chain adjustment, cleaning the chain or lubing it with my current lift set up.

The part numbers are different on the Mr Cycles parts fiche.

Had to buy one a few years ago, was quite frustrating because there were always plenty for the SC21 model and they were cheap, But for the SC24, there was only one or two at about twice the price.

Unless someone like Seb or Sprock can measure up and confirm they are identical, I would go for something from '89 onwards. The part numbers for both of these models are the same

On my current '93 i have a 4-2 stainless aftermarket system, downpipes & collector are either motad, delkevic or suchlike i'm not too sure as were already fitted to the bike when i bought it.

The cans are round stainless steel made by carbon can co. with non removable baffles so not too loud.

Just to let you know I have a Remus 4-1 and I still have a centre stand. Some exhaust makers allow for it.
