Default Carbs rebuilt but...

So I just finished rebuilding the carbs on my 87 1kf but am having an issue. The bike starts fine with the choke but any time I give it any gas it dies. I set the pilot screws at 2 1/2 out. I tried the carb sync but wasn't getting enough vacume to calibrate the tool. Bike never ran without the choke. Any suggestions are appreciated.

On a side note I had no idea that there was a small filter located under the float pin. If anyone has a tank spewing rust and gunk I would check these guys

Thanks for this, I have my carbs apart right now and read about these filters and completely forgot to do them! Sorry I can't answer your question though.

Glad I could help. Do you know how many turns out your air/pilot screw is?

My pilot screws are set at 2.5 turns when the bike was rejetted, they were at 4.5 turns(so the mech said).

Thanks Jarvid I'm pretty sure mine were at 3 when I took them out. I should have paid better attention. Seems odd that you would need a leaner mixture after the rejet. How the bike running after the big rebuild?

Do you have a picture handy pointing out the correct screw?
