Default Carb Gaskets

Does anyone know where I can get just the float bowl gaskets for my 87 1000f. Cheapcycleparts sells an entire gasket set but I am to cheap to buy it. Thanks

Looked at bikebandit and it seems like they only sell a set too. Maby it's cheaper there, 29$. Strange you can't get the gasket only.

Try www.mrcycles.com

http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_sectio...1987&fveh=3018

The set is only the bowl gasket and air correction needle gasket $24 per set X4

or David Silver Spares - HOME
I bought mine there. Both reputable suppliers and helpful

You could try an old bike trick...........
Some string of the correct thickness, coat it with gasket sealant, push it in the groove and good to go.
Or buy some o-ring rubber the correct thickness - it comes in lengths, so buy just what you need, and cut to fit......
Certainly cheaper than $96 for 4 originals.....

Holy Mother Of God! $96 for a few bits of rubber! Cheaper to buy a second hand set of carbs and use them for spares.

Could probably get them made in china for a dollar each if you had the connections. What a profit margin!!

God damn, don't Honda want to sell any parts, surely the R&D was paid for on these bikes years ago. All the usual excuses they come up with can't cover those prices. Good luck with the goo!

^ There is a bunch of young whippersnappers there now. They were still sucking their thumbs when these bikes were the big rave. They don't even know what one is let along try to sell parts for one.
