Boots rubbing paint/body work bad........

Anyone found a effective and inexpensive way to help stop this. It is mainly the shifter side. I had some "no-chip" clear sheeting that I applied but I can tell it is too soft and won't last long.
It is the ankle pivot screw on my vertigo corsas that is doing the damage.

A little velcro (hairy side) stuck to the ankle pivot screw on the boot.

I'd deal with the boot as opposed to trying to stick **** to the bike

Sprock, I was just sitting here trying to think of a way to "fix" the boot, and that is a great idea, I'll try that, THANKS.

A little clear "fairing tape" on the area - looks OK and keeps the boot from rubbing the paint. Maybe double it if necessary.

You can also use some of the static clean vinyl that people use on their headlights to stop chips and cracks. That way you don't have to worry about the glue residue that tape leaves behind.
