Battery Confusion

Battery Confusion
Hi All,
I haven't been on here much recently thanks to not being home much or anywhere near my bike. I got screwed at work 3 trips on the trot.
Only been home another 2 weeks this trip as well so not a happy bunny.
Went out to the bike yesterday, the first day I have felt well enough to do anything and thought I would start her up, let everything warm up so that when I get home I can do an oil and filter change.
Bike wouldn't start, battery hardly had enough to turn the engine over and that is while being on a trickle charger.
New battery required! !
Now the question which sort of battery? AGM, Gel or wet? I know about Lithium ion batteries but can't warrant spending that much money for a battery. I want one that turns the engine over quicker and obviously if it's smaller and saves weight it's a bonus.
Suggestions please oh those with the knowledge.
Thanks folks.

I would swear by MotoBatt I have them in Honda which only gets used about one weekend in every 6, also in GSXR1100 and VMax which get used on a more or less weekly basis and have had no problems over the last 2 years.
Must admit that I have set up CBR (88) with a direct connect to the pump so that I can plug the pump directly onto the battery and pump the carbs full before I turn it over on the starter. Always starts in 2 or 3 seconds.
Great fan of the MotoBatt products!!!

I have a scorpion AGM battery, purchased in july 2010.
The Hurricane has not been ridden much since then, due multiple injury's I have suffered. But always kept a trickle charger connected to the battery over the 5 years and the
Hurricane always starts, no problem. 12.80 volts today. If this helps you any.
