They're supposed to be quite the tough wearing tire Pete coming in a few different
carcass types depending in bike weight etc.
There's some good reading here from an older MotorcycleUSA review.
Only thing that concerns me is the treadless design on the crown of the rear tire
only not sure how that'd play out in the wet !
question was ever fitted ? .... me no , but sure have looked at them many times

I am on what I think is my third set. The best rain and damp road tire out there IMO. Others have commented about their hold in the wet also. In the spring I am ready to replace them with the same tire. They don't do every thing the best but I am very pleased with them. For my kind of riding, they fit me. I think they are more predictable than a sport tire on not so perfect days.
Here is what R1000 had to say about them.

A friend of mine has them on his track bike and he is quite impressed with them - I know the application on a 1000RR is different, but he has good words to say.(he's an instructor at the Phakisa raceway)
As for price, not cheap here, around $400US per set.
At 149Quid they're a steal Hawk - especially as they are so good in the wet, and we all know what the UK is like - a real desert
Reports seem to be mixed - some say they slow down steering, some say they take a long time to warm up, and that the grip isn't that good..........
I'll do a report on them for longevity and "feel" as compared to the PR2's and BT021's.
I would say this
These tyres were a gift from my millionaire son - I would have fitted PR2's but like any good Irishman you don't look a gift horse in the mouth, eh ?

I personally like a bike to point pretty fast and the Metzeler are definitely a slow responding tire IMO .... at least the ones I tried several years ago were ....the newer ones may be different ??

Michelins on her, they were good hard wearing tire but felt heavy but still
great for doing distance on the highway , I can't say they're a bad tire
at all and I believe the Z6 's are right up there for long wearing as the
PR2's !
Time will tell when Pete puts 'em through the mill
