Default Alternator output

I was thinking about getting some heated gear but I don't know what the alternator out put is. I have a 93 1000F. I was reading up and an article I read said don't bother if your alternator doesn't put out enough Amps to produce 250 Watts.

I've had no issues with a heated jacket.
