The first problem that was identified was fork seals were shot. So off with the front end. Name: 100_4445.jpg

You can see all the oil on the ground there. I made a rookie mistake when trying to get her started. I just put a funnel in the gas line and left it. It did start!!! But the next day there was really thin oil shooting out of the filler. I initially thought it was a blown cylinder, but good news is that it was just gas that had leaked past a stuck float and past the rings. So i was at a point of just slapping the forks back on and taking the ugly girl to the prom, or complete tear down.
Heres a pic of my "work" area

That blue tape from 3M is a life saver. Won't leave sticky glue behing but is great for labeling. If anyone is starting a project its a must have. If you can't find it PM me and I'll send you some. I was careful to label all the fram bolts and spacers too.

Any suggestions are welcome!!!! My big headache right now is getting rid of the PAIR system. I was lucky enough to get a CA bike UUUGGGGHHH. I can plug the exhaust side easy but would love to see how the stock carb hoses go. As far as i can tell from the manual there are no vacume lines. Two fuel lines in and then 2 breather hoses? I will keep updating. Thanks for the help!!!
