RE: 1988 CBR1000 HURRICANE FOR SALE
Out of curiosity how much are you asking or you want to get for it????
I have the same bike, but with 7K miles on it now.
I bought mine new in 1988 and was stored for 11 years, so it's spanking brand new.
I went to a dealer recently and they offered me $1600 and I almost beat the guy up.
According to Motorcyclist magazine, it is a Classic and the first true Super Bike.
They said, that a mint Hurricane would be between $2800 and $3K depending on milage and condition.
They praised the bike's acceleration, chassis stability and Honda quality.
Also that for $3000, you could do no better than that.
Good luck and I hope it finds a good home.

RE: 1988 CBR1000 HURRICANE FOR SALE
I think it is a reasonable price.
I would ask right now for mine $3500 to $3700, due to more milage, if I were to sell it.
Saturday I went to the Honda and Yamaha dealer to see new bikes and nothing tempted me.
For $10K to $12K the performance is not that much of a difference to justify it and that is without TTL.
Insurance on a new bike will CASTRATE you and you can't beat $76 a year for liability only.
