Default 1000F Timing chain replacement

I have just replaced the timing chain due to the trademark rattle, but the noise persists. The tensioner seemed OK and I noticed there was no Teflon on the guide. Does the tensioner have to be primed and should there not be a Teflon layer ?

Thanks Oz Now to try and track them down. I'm sure it won't be that simple. Our local Honda boys don't seem all that good on the older models.

Thanks guys. Brilliant "how to".Didn't replace the tensioner, finished the job and it's noisy as hell. Back to the dealer for a replacement tensioner, I guess.

Read HenryM's post on modifying the CCT.
Don't buy a new one.
