CBR1000F for sale in UK
Hi,
selling my 1993 CBR1000F with 96,700 miles on the clock.
I have owned her for nearly 4 years and covered about 40,000 miles over that time. As a Honda she has been very reliable but is now looking for a new owner that can sort out her little ****les.
Since owning her I have had the following done:
Top end overhaul and valve set up
Cam chain and tensioner replaced at 57,000
Regular home servicing including oil changes at 6,000 miles or less
Double bubble screen fitted
Heated grips fitted and working
12v plug socket fitted
Flush mount rear indicators
New chain and rear sprocket September 2012
Strobe effect additional rear brake light
New battery in 2012
Underseat red LEDs wired into the brake lights
Recovered seat in Sept 2012 with gel pad inserts
New wavy discs fitted in March
New front and rear tyres fitted last month – Road pilot front & road pilot 2 rear
Lots of receipts
Haynes manual
She has now covered 96,700 miles.
She runs and rides well and covers ground very well as a ballistic sofa. Long distances are a doddle and she has frequently done 400+ mile weekends without hesitation, in all weathers.
She is 20 years old and has a few scrapes and scratches that are purely cosmetic. All fairings are complete and secure but there are 2 screws that do not lock on the fairing. They haven’t since I had the bike but it’s never caused a problem.
She has an intermittent starting problem. This shows its head on rare occasions by turning over but not firing up, especially when cold and left unused for a few days. A couple of yards with a bump start or a jump and she starts and runs fine. This has happened about 3 times in the last 1000 miles. Could be a simple fix such as a battery, plugs, carb balance or HT lead replacement.
This is your chance to buy a modern classic.

Offers in excess of £300 CASH please.

I do
Hi 74Demon,
No, Heather didn't make me do it as she is an avid Honda fan as well. We just couldn't get the right CBR1100 at the right price.
I follow the 'what have you done...' as it can give you ideas on what to do as well as NOT. Very useful link IMO if people folow up on posts such as 'thinking of...'
See you on the 'dark grey' side.
Stay safe
