I did a lot of research, primarily going to sellers' feeback section and contacting people who had bought kits for my year and model from various sellers. Based on what these buyers said, I ended up going with brandacat for my 97 F3. I asked for solid Honda red, which wasn't one of the color options he showed, and he made them for me at the same cost as for ones he already had in stock, and threw in a winscreen at no additional cost. Color matched fine with my tank.

The fit was a long way from perfect, but it was manageable, with one major exception: There was absolutely no way my headlight was going to fit into the upper center cowl. Lucky for me that was the only part of my old plastics that was still in decent shape, so I just reused what I had, and got the rest of the plastics mounted OK. But if I had to rely on what he sent me, I would have had a big problem.

I bought some 1/4" dynamat insulation to protect the lower fairings from engine heat, and didn't have any melting problems. I have plenty of the insulation left over, so if anyone wants it, it's yours for the cost of shipping.

I'd say the kit was a good purchase, but I probably wouldn't feel that way if I had to rely on their upper center cowl. I couldn't justify buying a higher quality kit that would have cost more than the bike was worth, so for a 12-year-old bike it made sense.

Unfortunately, my bike was stolen about two months after I put on my new plastics, and I don't really have any good pictures.
