Check out the custom link the previous owner made to lower the bike. Thank god I'm still alive. No comment necessary, just watch who you buy your bikes from guys.

That looks pretty sketchy if you ask me. Good thing you got rid of that before it broke going 75 down the road.

Jesus Christ Bananas.
I'm literally speechless.
Just wondering - did you not notice that when you picked up the bike? Or did you just buy it recently?

The bike was lowered when i bought it i figured just a lowering link. So when i took it to my mechanic to get it raised we both were in for a surprise. I was honestly speechless lol.

Yes its not the most appealing thing to put on your bike. but honestly, if grade 8 bolts were used and not some cheap no grade bolts. it'll have plenty of strength to hold up. Looks like that steels about 1/4" thick (hard to tell in pics) and he used 2 plates to sandwich it.
So he just decided to cut the link in half and add some flat stock to extend it to lower the bike huh? probably not the first choice for anyone, but he certainly should have told you about it when he was trying to sell it. I would want to know about it before getting on just because you don't know how something is built til you get it apart.
