does anyone know what is going on with angels crest highway??? i went up there yesterday and it was closed about 5 miles or so past wrightwood. ive tried looking on google but i got no luck. i wanna ride this highway really bad. does anyone know when it will be open or what is going on with the highway???

 

It has been closed about 3-4 miles pas Mt Waterman for a few years. Landslides on the hwy maybe?

Looks like it to me. I was just up there about 3 weeks ago and it was closed just past the tunnel and Mt Waterman.
If it is open it would be a great ride.

I also rode over Palmdale via Angeles Crest / Angeles Forest 2 weeks ago. Angeles Forest is not as fun as Angeles Crest though.

I've been doing a lot of riding lately, I've actually put over 14k miles on my CBR in the last 4 months. Nearly 20k total miles on it.

 

i posted this thread the day before the highway opened again. i didnt check the cal trans road conditions that day and went all the way up there to find out it was closed. but i will be riding ACH pretty much everytime i go riding now.

any one wanna come with?
