Hi everyone, new here and I ran into a weird problem. the 600 was riding fine for 2 hours the day before. When I went out to start it today, I noticed both signal lights, regular blue lights, red light, and flashing oil light was on. I then switched the engine stop switch to on and I did not hear any "hmmmmm" sound. I still tried starting it several times but it didnt start. After several times the gas light on the left side of the indicator came on. (tried starting too many times I assume?) I disconnected the battery for awhile and the gas indicator went away, but the fuel pump still does not make a sound. Whats going on here! I checked the fuses but they are all good.

Should I be lifting the tank up and checking the fuel pump?

Check the two relays that are attached to the right hand side of the subframe, under your tail cowling. One of them is a fuelpump kill relay. Also just go around and check all the plugs in the harness and make sure everything is making a good connection. Alot of these problems end up being a harness problemm one of the relaysm or a bad connection. By the way, that the kill switch your using isn't really there to stop the bike, it's an emergency stop deal, a normal stop on the bike just requires use of the ignition switch. Supposed to just turn off the key to stop the bike.

Yes, I was reading about the relays in the back at the cowls in the manual. They say to connect the battery 12v to the relay. How do you do this? Just run a wire from the battery to it?

lift your gas tank, check the wiring. maybe they came loose or apart. if I remember correctly, the wire hangs from the gas tank and connects via orange or some color connector.
