Hi all:

Going to look at an 01 F4I tomorrow and need some advice. The bike has 19k miles on it, and supposedly has never been down. Clean title etc. Anyway, what should I be paying for this bike roughly? Can these bikes even handle this mileage? Should I avoid it and what should I be looking for?
This would be my first Honda and I greatly appreciate any and all advice very much.

19K isn't bad, there is a bunch to look for in general when looking to buy a bike did you go through the purchasing guide Sticky?

they can handle that mileage no problem, mine has 30,000 on it and never been down so it is possible. the f4i is pretty much bullet proof if its been taken care of. usually from the cosmetic look of it you can tell if its been taken care of.

there's a guy on here with over 100,000 miles on his F4i. Mileage is not the issue. These things are like tanks. Like Biggie said READ THE STICKY.

2001 F4i with 19,000? I'd buy it for 3,000-ish.

And yes, the F4i is a tank. Jared has 155,000 miles on his with pretty much everything origional except for the CCTL and 3rd gear. Even the clutch is origional.

Thanks guys. Passed on the bike. It was actually an F4. The guy made a mistake. Also, scratched up like hell. Will have to keep looking..
