What he said, plus coolant, brake fluid, maybe lube the levers.

how much you pick it up for?
You don't need to replace the air filter or spark plugs at 10k. Coolant and brake fluid couldn't hurt, but not super important. It's best to check as much as you can, though. If the brakes are really squishy and aren't stopping as well, you can redo the fluid (also check the brake pads all around).
Or if you're really anal about it, you can do the whole shebang.

Normally, I would do the major stuff just to be on the safe side since its your first bike. if you notice minor things, you can always DIY, and if you don;t know how to, the forums have plenty of knowledge... =]

Agree with this. Hondas are so well-engineered for reliability and durability, that's it's possible to over maintain the things and waste money. I just did my plugs and filter at 13K and both were completely unnecesary, based on condition.
Valves? I'd say forget that one too until you get to 20K.
Frequent oil and filter changes--I do about every 3K. Chain cleaning and lube every two weeks, at least. Flush the brake fluid and bleed the systems. You're good to go for many miles.

Brake fluid has to be replaced every 2yrs regardless of mileage. Its hygroscopic. Id do brake fluid every 2yrs no matter what. Especially on a motorcycle and its easy anyways.
