My new fairigs arrived that I ordered from eBay they were packaged very well. I have not installed them yet but they seemed to be made pretty well and paint job was great. I will put pics up later

when i bought mine they came with insulation already on...try going to autozone and see if they have any kind of sheets...i know they have the muffler wraps...but they are kinda pricey...good luck

Now let's hope they fit as well as they look! That's the part most people dislike is the fitment. Make sure to give everyone a good review of them, including where you got them from, etc.

Yea thats the reason I started this thread I know alot of people are looking for a good place to order from with good fitment. This vendor had like a 900+ feed back 99.9% positive and most comments said good fitment so ill let you know I should be putting them on within a week(I want to take care of the heat insulation and get a set of new bolts.) Here are some pictures of them off the bike

I don't think that it would look too bad with a black tank. Just will have to see what it looks like when they are installed.

You can get foil tape at your local hardware store. (probably cheaper than the auto parts store) Look in the heating and cooling section.

If you have an all black tank, you could try adding the wing tip decals on, only in white. Give it the reverse look. I've seen it on a few bikes and it's cool. Something to try that isn't repainting the whole tank.

I'm with Aken on this one, the white tips on a black tank with those fairings would prolly look pretty nice. The reverse look isnt bad. Love the white and black by the way, if I ever end up trashing my fairings bad enough to need to order new ones that's prolly the color combo I'll get.

Yea I may give that reverse look a try. That foil tape will it do the job good? Really not trying to melt the new fairings lol

I wonder if the heat radiating from the engine gets hot enough to melt the plastic. Post pics of finished product...were the holes pre-drilled?

With the fairings came some a piece of paper that said not to install them without getting heat insulation I dont know if it would melt the plastic but I am sure it could do some damage on the paint at the very least.... and yes the holes were pre drilled

I've got the same color combo on my bike. I painted them myself, though. I think the bike would like fine with the reverse tank. Where are you getting your bolts from?

I have my old bolts still but I would like to get new ones no idea though really. Do they sell them at like hardware stores or do they need to be specially ordered?

^ I tried looking for bolts and it was such a pain. When I bought my bike, the fairings were just BARELY hanging on with the bare minimum amount of bolts so I tried looking for some but I couldn't find any :(

Ok so I went to Lowes today and found this Foil Tape but some guy there said that really would not help much? anyone got any advice on how to heat insulate the plastics without spending too much?

So I installed the new fairings for the most part every piece fit just about perfectly except for of course the Upper some of the bolt holes did not match up perfectly but it was not hard to make it work after I pick up some extra bolts tomorrow from Home Depot I will be completely done with maybe 2 hours of work put into it? and only had to use the dremmel on one whole to make it a little bigger. Overall I am pretty pleased with the outcome you can see some ****ty before and after pics here- http://cbrforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88867 they were taken with my phone and the after it was almost dark out.
