I posted this in the 900rr section as well, figured I would ask you guys too. If I hit my front brake, my brake light doesn't come on, but if I hit the back, it does. Any idea what I can check to make the front work? I recently replaced the entire harness, and am 99% sure everything is back together as it was

Oh and it didn't work before I replaced it either

Do you here a click when you squeeze the front brake lever? The lever presses on a switch for the brake light as well as the master cylinder. There should be a couple of wires leading to it. When the switch closes it completes the circuit for the brake light to illuminate. If you pull the wires off you should be able to short them together... if the light comes on then the wiring harness from the switch to the light is good.If you have an ohm meter you can test the function of the switch while the wires are off. No continuity(open switch)until you squeeze the lever(close the switch)is what you are looking for. So if it is an analog meter the needle should point to zero with the lever pulled in...good switch. If the needle doesnt move replace the switch.

That switch was the problem, I checked the wiring and it lit up, so I checked the switch with my meter and nothing. Luckily I had another brake lever laying around so I switched it out and viola, brake light works. Thank you for the help

I forgot to mention that the ignition has to be in the on position for testing the harness. Let us know how you make out.
