so lately my gears are slipping (happened 6 times) so my question is, if im doing something wrong or just my tranny is going out. ok it only happends when i shift to second gear and when it happends da gear goes thru and bout 10 yards it drops to neutral and screams you know, so am i not hitting it hard enough to shift, should i check my oil make sure i have enough or is it just my tranny bout to go out? oh whats a good tranny to go with and is it hard to put on, cause i've done all da work on my bike but never something this hard i guess lol and well if ya'll know anything let me know and i appreciate it alot Thanks

 

well that sounds like a slip... check your oil cuz your oil is your blood in your tranny. i dont know a HUGE amount of stuff on tranies so i wont say anymore but that is a quick fix if its just low or old oil.. when was the last time you changed?

also, make sure you are getting it all the way into gear...i remember that when i used to ride my f4i, if i didnt slam it up into 2nd it would either just go into nuetral or slip out.
