What does your F4i sound a feel like at 8-10k motor wise...

I've got what kinda sounds like a ringing noise and slight vibration in the footpegs and was wondering if this was normal. I know this is kinda general but I don't really know how else to describe it...

It's an 01 with just under 11,000 miles.

I'll try to give you a straight answer. No there shouldn't be any vibrations in your foot pegs. You may have a motor mount issue?

Well - not so much - but the bike sounds freaking awesome.

 

I had vibrations in the foot pegs when I overtightened the chain. Check and lube. No ringing. 11,000 mi.

 

Thanks for the input. Chain tension is correct and just lubed. It does not make the noise while in neutral while revving. Only with the motor under load.

EDIT: Its hard to tell if it is a ringing or click type noise. It does get louder and faster with the higher rpms. It is NOT the CCTL.

 

Mine sounds and feel like a d**m F1 car... and Im not exaggerating... if it werent so loud, itd be a nice tone (D&D).

(and the vibration isnt normal.. but mine does make a clicking noise at about 6k and higher... I always figured it was normal since its done it since I bought the bike (and mines not the cctl))
