I did alot of searching about this but couldnt seem to find the answer i was looking for. The reserve first comes on with all 4 bars, then one by one they start flashing. When you get to all 4 bars flashing is that the last warning you have or do the bars then start to disappear? What I mean is after all 4 are flashing will the first bar then go out, 2nd bar go out til there is no bars left?

I just picked up a 02 F4i and I went through my first tank with it and I got 251 KM out of the tank which is about 156miles with 4 bars flashing.

You got it. When you have four flashing bars you better get your bike to a gas station QUICK! When it comes on youwill have four solid bars, then the first one flashes, then the 1st and 2nd one flash, then 1st 2nd and 3rd one flash, then they all flash, then you're out of gas.
