I recently got into a lowside accident and am looking at options in replacing the oem fairings. I'm considering going to ebay as I'm sure the dealer will want an arm and a leg. There is one problem I'm having though. I'm looking at getting this kit

or this one since my tank is silver and black already.

I saw that no tank cover/gas tank is included on the repsol fairings. I did a search for Repsol gas tank covers and only found ones for the 1000RR.

Does anyone know if I could put the 1000RR gas tank cover on my 2001 F4I? I know the F4I has an all-metal gas tank whereas the 1000RR kits are merely gas tank covers. Hope someone out there has experience in this area. Any ideas welcome.

Wish I could find the same color scheme somewhere. I love the color and hate to change her "clothes".

F4/i's dont have tank covers. So you'll have to replace the tank or have it repainted if you change colors.

I don't know if you're still looking but there is a company that is based out of my town called Armour Bodies. Some might be familiar with them, some not, but I've had experience with their products for a SV650S full kit and the quality is outstanding.

just follow the links and you'll see the body work for the f4i.
