So I'm leaving Extreme powersports in Columbus Ga and I stop at the light to turn on Veterans. Well I look in my mirror to see if I am going to get run over by some cager not paying attention and what do I see. Ya, that's right six of Columbus Ga finest motorcycle cops. So the light turns green and I figure I shouldn't do anything stupid. So I pull out and turn left, ya all six cops turn left as well. Well I needed to get into the left turn lane to get on the highway but I had to wait until I got to the turn lane in the first place. Well veterans is divided by one of those lanes that just has the lines through it so you can't travel in it. So I put on my turn signal and move to the left in my lane. I stay in my lane until the solid yellow line turns to the dotted yellow line. Because we all know that if you cross a solid line in front of a cop you get a ticket. So the line goes from solid to broken and I move over into the turn lane with my signal still on. Well wouldn't ya know it, I almost got hit from behind by Columbus's finest motorcycle cops. Apparently while I was waiting to legally enter the turning lane. Columbus's finest was already over there riding over the huge solid yellow lines. Now I always check when I change lanes but I when you are in the left lane on the left side of that lane next to a lane you are not allowed to be in and there is a cop behind you, you don't really think you need to check to see if some one is driving there. But the best part of it is even after the cops decided to violate traffic laws and almost wreck me we had to stop at a light to get on the highway. So we stop and I look at the guy that almost hit me. Well he's looken at me saying something. So I flipped my visor up (kind of pissed but as a LEO I know nothing I say will help) and the cop says "You might want to look over before you whip out into another lane". Well as a LEO I know that I can't be charged or ticketed for telling a cop solid lines are not allowed to be crossed according to Ga law. So I replied with "Sorry figured no one would be driving in prohibited area!" So before the guy could reply the light turned green and the truck in front of us pulled away. So I pulled away and you guessed it the cops followed. Well once we got on the highway they flew passed me at a whopping 70 MPH. Well the cop that almost hit me decides that he wants to hit one of those u-turn spots and head the other way. Well when he does he almost dumped his bike. So on the way by I threw him a friendly head shake and wave.

 

at least you didnt get harrassed or worst.
