this is absolutley amazing. i hope its not a repost, cause i'd be bummed that i missed this before.

It doesn't really look like anything that spectacular, kinda like he did it on purpose, and then the last 2 angles show how much he was moving.

GREAT SAVE! That's what I LOVE about the Europeans and their love for motor sports. Even the announcers knew how much of an amazing feat that was to accomplish.........versus here its "oh, and he crashed." in monotone.

I dont even think the rider knows how he saved it! That was great to watch, and I enjoyed the commentators as well. Funny to listen to.

Partly luck, partly skill...
Most lucky one I've ever seen was this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGKhkO-SsDk
That guy had no skill, just luck and balls of steel (note how he doesnt let go of the bike while he's falling over it... Could've been crushed)

Dang, great shot.

It's called, "being in the zone." I've been in the zone myself a couple of times, but only on skis and skateboards. Feels great though. Trying to find my way there onmy bike, but I think I seek a path with no centerlines or surface gravel...

Good find!

Not to take anything away from Colin, but Nicky did something similar during the race. Both riders are amazing to save it! ;)

This is the same save Nicky Hayden did in the last Moto GP race last weekend. Skills.

The fact thet both moto GP and AMA superbike racers have gotten away with saves like that on more than one ocation should tell a story aboout the level of competition in both racing series.

Amazing is an understatement.

just to clarify, you might already know this but Colin is an American. Maybe I missunderstood what you meant. The announcers are real good though.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I saw Nickys too, that was another great one.

I believe foxy was referring to the announcers and how they were reacting during/after the save as opposed to how american announcers would have made a simple comment about it.
