Sorry for the Noob question, but I searched and found nothing answering my question...so here goes...

Are there any aftermarket plastics, or ability to make newer plastics fit onto a 90 600F? Specificly the rear fender, just a little square for my liking. If not, ill deal with it or make something, but figured i would ask. Im very mechanicly inclined, just never owned a bike 'til now, so gotta start fresh.

Honostly, it's not that it's not worth it, it's just that there aren't many of the bikes around that people want to spend the time or money making look new. I found this out with my F2. There are very few companies that make products for it. If you want to make it look new, i'd pick up the parts for whatever bike you want to model it after, and, fabricate the mounts yourself. If you're really wanting to modernize it, that's pretty much the way to go.

i have to agree. i have tried to find parts for my 93 f2. i can't find jack. start fabricating mounts and work from there or keep looking. you'll find stuff eventually but cost might be high.

Id like to hear any additional parts that will Fit also. Ive had an f-1 for years but now with my 929 and my wife's got and F4i I am playing with updating all the plastic. Keeping all the original parts.
I'm finding the f4I parts are very close.


F1 Compatable parts
CBR 2000 929 Rear pegs/Brackets
CBR F4i 2001 Chain Guard
1992 F-2 front fender

what? the F4i plastics are close to those of the F1? is that what you were trying to say?

Will the 91 plastics (front fairing, sides, rear, etc.) fit my 89? I love the look of the 91' and up. any help is appreciated.

not sure, i dont think they will match right up but you wouldnt be able to tell until you actually got one and tried. 87-90 is the f1. so that is a different model.
