Hey guys,

after about 12-15 hours of work I'm finally done with this weeks project.

I installed a scorpio alarm system (with proximity alert, of course)
I made and installed angel eyes, either solid blue or color changing
I installed four pods of LED's, each pod consisting of 25 LED's

to control the angel eyes I installed a remote control switch with four circuits on it:

circuit 1 - color changing angel eyes
circuit 2 - solid blue angel eyes
circuit 3 - left and right side LED's
circuit 4 - rear and front LED's

Here are some pics of everything and a link to a video of the remote control switch in action:

All wired up and still have "trunk" space - gotta love the 'nanna seat!

Those ground effects are pretty bright, but I'm not really a fan of that kind of stuff on bikes. It makes you more visable, so who gives a **** what I think. Those angel eyes are very trick, props for that. I think it would be better though if the colors were more co-ordinated with each other and/or the paint scheme of the bike. The way they change it kind of seems random. (edit)How many LED's are in the angel eyes?Is it one set of blues and one set of LED's that change, or is it adifferent LED for each color?(/end edit)Your bike is all blue, but im saying if you have a mulicolored bike to use the same colors of thebike in the eyes. Or perhaps use a sequence of colors so that it seems to fade.

I want to get a scorpio for my f4i. I want to see about a group buy perhaps. I have a friend who wants one also.

the angel eyes have 2 LED's on each side, one is solid blue (pointing inwards) the other is a color changing pointing outwards. I had no choice in the colors it flashes. If I re-wire I can set it up so they blink at the same rate which would in turn make the colors match up, but the more I watch it, I think it's more "mesmorizing" and cooler looking with different blinking rates so I'll probably leave it as it is. I made sure that I could have ONLY blue if I want for the full blue glowing effect. I previously had slow changing LED's but I like the faster changing ones better, it has more pop that way

haha, thanks - I spent 3 years running wires through houses (security systems) so I take pride in making things look neat and clean. Eventually when I am motivated and 100% pleased with placement of everything I will wrap all the wires tightly in black electrical tape and will zip tie with black zip ties to existing harneses and cables, you'll NEVER know it wasn't stock!

if you want to clean up your rats nest - just use some zip ties, get a few wires at a time and eventually with enough folding and playing it will look semi-nice.

I just wired my bike with a starcom communication kit. Very nice wiring job. My next mod may be a grouhd effects LED job or angel eyes. Very sexy, even if you cant control the collors on the angel eyes, they look great.

Also if you ever want your trunk space back take off the back fairing and you can zip tie that alarm and light controller to the sub from one on each side... It's what i did on mine because i missed my truck space ohhh so much..

The bike looks nice man. Have you thought about getting that wire shroud stuff that you see in cars mostly, and i think they offer it to clean up your wiring on stereo systems for home theater. They are like a ribber plastic tubing with a slit to install it over wires after wiring is complete. THat may clean up the wiring a little more, and help prevent chamfering. But from what i see on your pics, you did an awesome job. Congrates man

yeah, I might get some of that tubing - I used to use it when I did my car stereo system installs inside the engine bay, I just don't live very close to any auto parts store so I'm sort of limited to what I order on the internet and what I get at walmart...

I actually didn't make the LED pods - I got the 25 LED Dome light from oznium.com - somebody on this forum works there but i forget who. It's a cool web page with tons of products. they are SUPER bright - I'll take pics of where they are located and post them in a few days

Update: for some reason the switch is turning on and off different sets of lights at seemingly random times. I haven't witnessed the actual flipping of the switch myself but I have walked up to a bike with a severly drained battery and LED's on... The product is PL-SW29 and although the cardomain reviews are nowhwere to be found, I have seen on the net that people have had some sort of issues with this switch, possibly with interference. The comments I have seen were from 2004 - now in 2008 I can only imagine the keyless remotes / garage door openers / etc. have only multiplied and could potentially be interfering with my switch.

Real annoying. I'm going to put a physical switch on the wireless switch box to eliminate the possibility of it "accidentally" switching. Kinda detracts from some of the coolness of my install but oh well.

if anybody has or can find info about PL-SW29 where people ran into similar issues let me know!

There are a couple of how-to's on this site (just do a search on "angel eyes") so I didn't bother posting my own although I took many pictures throughout the entire process so if you want to see specifically how I did something I can show you.

I used the instructions on http://www.geocities.com/jvxdriver/eagle_eyes.htm - but watch the video he posts, there are a few other neat tricks he uses. There was some trial and error involved, but I think now I could do the entire process including tear down and re-build in about 2 hours (3 hours if you include shopping for supplies) :-)

Ya I found a few after I posted that. I found those instructions several years ago I can't belive that they are still floating around lol! I'm a very visual person so any pictures that you took that you think might help me out you can email them to me at Nickm660@comcast.net. Did you come up with a final dimension of the ring and or how long the plastic rod need to be?? Did you actually stick the headlamp assembly in the oven or didyou do something else?? And what MCD LED's did you use??
