There is another alternative, they do it on an F4, but it's the same procedure. I used that page when I did mine on my F4i.

DO NOT PULL THE PIN!!!!!!!!!! (until it is installed)learned that the hard way. It just looked so damn tempting

 

Haha, i did the SAME thing. The worst part was realizingwhat i did after trying topush it in with the pin all the way out. But yeah, don't pull that little pin until the screws are tight. After that it's easy...

 

What's the deal with TDC on#1? I understand that the worry is "jumping timing", but I just don't understand exactly how this prevents it? Anyone know?
