I got a Garmin Street Pilot 2720 for christmas(currently in my truck) but would like to get a mount for my bike. Having trouble finding one i like though, Does anybody in here have a gps mounted on there bike? The ones ive seen on ebay mount to the gas cap. I seen one for a yamaha that uses the Main nut on hte steering stem above the triple that i liked but wasnt for an f4i. Just want to see if there are anymore options out there im not finding! thanks

I recently also got a GPS system for my f4i and after some reasearch i have found that there are a few different options...
1) ram-mounts - go to www.ram-mount.com (http://www.ram-mount.com) and you will see there are TONS if different pieces that you can use to configure on our bikes. I think the cleanest look would be to pop off the fork stem bolt plastic cover and use that hole for a ram mount. My bike is currently in storage so I'm not sure if under the cap is hollow but I would assume it is.
2) http://www.gadgetguy.net - this guy put together what's called a "Kit III" which will fit on the f4i (the 7 inch one) It's really cool looking but sort of pricey. I am trying to figure out how to make one out of normal home depot parts. If I figure it out I will post a how-to. The cool thing about this bar is you can attach gps / ez-pass / radar detector / chatterbox / etc onto it...
3) gas tank (camera / gps) mount, I recomend using www.newenough.com (http://www.newenough.com) - in their street parts section they have an awesome looking camera holder that could be used to mount the gps system as well.
Any way you go take pictures and let us know how you do it!

I have a Ram Mount stem nut for my GPS. I have a Garmin GPSMap 76CX which will be replaced by the Zumo 550 in a couple of weeks.

http://www.techmounts.com/ has some pretty nice stuff. A little on the pricey side, but they look like amazing quality.
