oodayvidoo 01-17-2008, 04:59 PM has anybody ordered the parts listed on the his tutorial? you know where it says for instance, (96300-06020-00) seat bolt(2) (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i269/a56kuser/f4iconversion/seatbolts.jpg) does that mean it comes with 2 bolts inside the plastic bag? or do i have to order 2?
sharker98 01-17-2008, 06:07 PM They are single, order 2

oodayvidoo 01-18-2008, 12:46 PM sharker... ur bike looks f**king clean man!!! i really like it... i hope my bike turns out like urs, i'm currently working on it right now and my bike is in pieces.
Everton 01-22-2008, 07:40 PM this is a great walk through! Thank you. I am wondering about how much would this conversion cost?
sharker98 01-22-2008, 09:32 PM It cost me about $550 out of pocket, and selling of my old parts... about $250 gained from them (so $800 total)
That was all used parts except the seats, painted myself with professional ppg 3 stage paint (base, candy, clear)
I guess its a lot of money, but so isn't everything else on the bike.
If you take your time and shop around you can probably do a little better, that was all put together in about a week with the resources available at the time.
CBRZone was great place for used parts, they took my old parts in trade as well.

Thx man, I just recently took it back apart, glass bead blasted the subframe and clear coated it. The metallic Duplicolor I used on the subframe seemed to chip too easily, and it sticks out like a sore thumb with aluminum color showing through.
I will post up a recent pic with my new LED blinkers in the rear and the silver subframe... I am awaiting a LED clear tail light to match my clear LED blinkers

You are absolutely normal... Some people bought the F4i for the naner seat.
It depends what you bought your bike for.... You may have been looking at a more Sport tourer type bike, and settled on the F4i as a little sportier than you may have liked, in that case... you would like the naner
Or, you may have been looking for a sport bike like the RR but decided you wanted a little more upright driving position, and settled for the F4i... but really liked the sportier split seat look (such as myself)
I think it is a good looking bike either way, But I like it a little more with the split seat.
