I am showing nylon on my tire. i need to know what tire do i need?i do mostly just comuting. i do race/reach high speeds i can lean the bike...wheelies all that jazz..no track cirlce or oval or whatever that is just some drag every now and then.so i guess i need a middle of the road tire. i dont want to spend to much cash ( i only make like 70 bucks a week lol it sucks being 17). I also need to know what does a honda shop charge to take the tire off put it on rim and put back on the bike? also what size
P.S. this is for the rear
thanks

first of all try searching as there are tons of other thread about this. That being said, i just went from the Dunlop 208 to the Pirelli Diablo and it's awesome. Considered Pilot Powers (all the rage right now) but heard many people say they wore fast and flatspotted quickly, so not so great for communting. The diablo is plenty sticky, feels great, and should last longer. I think the rear 180/55-17 cost me $129 + ~$40 mounting. I also commute to work as well as like a sporty tire...didn't want a touring tire...so far i think this fits the bill nicely.

I went through 2 Pilot Powers, and am now currently trying out a Pirelli Diablo as well thanks to Tahoe... lol. And I must say, it's way better than I thought it would be. Definately stays planted for spirited riding. And yeah, the rear is a 180/55 17. And I pretty much payed the same amount as you did jmdaley lol. So both the PP and Diablo have been awesome.

if your just getting a rear tire, you should get the same type of tire as is on the front

if your trying to save money, you could try to find a local rider with a rearstand and take the wheel off the bike yourself. Its really easy and there are plenty of threads on how to do it, you just need a rearstand and the right size socket
