Thanx Wala alienworkshop 09-26-2005, 05:14 PM I dont think it should as long as you lower both the front and back. lowering the front only is what makes it hard to wheelie. wala 09-26-2005, 10:26 PM appreciate the input ........ spldrong 01-19-2006, 03:54 AM I know you posted this a while ago.. but I can tell you from experience trying to wheelie a lowered bike is very scary.. its very twitchy in the air.. and comes down hard steve stephygee 01-20-2006, 09:30 AM Yep...comes down hard, the front wheel starts to wobble violently, and the next thing you know, you're airborne. If you're lucky, you don't have a get off, just a VERY hard tank slap that'll bring tears to the eyes of any bystander....not that it's ever happened to me [&:] ORIGINAL: spldrong I know you posted this a while ago.. but I can tell you from experience trying to wheelie a lowered bike is very scary.. its very twitchy in the air.. and comes down hard steve Daredevil 01-26-2006, 11:28 PM man, i must be a newb because i can't wheelie my 98 F3 with sprocket/chain, pipe, and jet kit :\ for crap any pointers? stephygee 01-27-2006, 03:36 PM Do a "how to wheelie" google and you'll find tons of information on how to properly perform a wheelie. When I pulled a wheelie, it was an accident...didn't mean to do it, but I was in second gear, twisted the throttle too hard trying to catch up with someone and the front just lifted up. Since the bike went up, the first thing to do is NOT panic...just tap the rear brake to bring it back down. If my bike weren't lowered, I don't think I'd have had such a hard landing. Either way, no harm, no foul....it wobbled like a mofo, but I got hold of it...I just paid the price with a rather harsh tank slapper....uttered oaths in my helmet to make a sailor blush and teared up like a schoolgirl...but....I stayed upright...no get off. In future, I know I won't do it again [&:] and I'd suggest you practice on a beater bike and get a sinsei like I did [sm=grin.gif] ORIGINAL: Daredevil man, i must be a newb because i can't wheelie my 98 F3 with sprocket/chain, pipe, and jet kit :\ for crap any pointers? local://upfiles/290/54C6E2885A0D4FDE88544C82C3A45740.jpg Tahoe SC 01-27-2006, 04:56 PM yo mang...don't slam down hard on a lowered bike when wheelie cause you'll scrape the bottom of your fairing... and unlike the pix do wear some gear, but mofo in the pix is bootilicious so it's ok cause you gots to show that butt! wala 09-30-2006, 11:03 PM Thanx guys .....BTW i did lower my cbr and did bottom it out and it is a little scary to get used to.....so i try not to do that on this bike.....kurt JZHALES 10-03-2006, 02:08 AM my friend has a stretched lowered 954, he smashed his oil pan to hell after a wheelie, be easy |
