View Full Version : 1000RR project is finished!
Two4One 01-15-2005, 08:40 PM The only thing left is the new black chrome windscreen and the passenger seat cowl. I must say I'm really happy with the way it came out.
Mods included:
New front and rear blinkers
Painted lowers black
Powder coated - swingarm, foot controls, levers
Chrome Wheels
Corbin Seat
Yoshimura RS-5 exhaust
I think that's everything in the photo.

CivicRacerX7 01-15-2005, 09:35 PM looks good but why the **** did they make the rear stick up SOOO high ewwww
Two4One 01-16-2005, 03:15 AM I can bring the rear down a tad I'm sure. I haven't touched the suspension.
CivicRacerX7 01-16-2005, 04:33 PM I like the all black frame
looks good
chainstretcher 01-16-2005, 08:24 PM I like that -- really clean look. How do you keep the can from melting stuff? Looks like there is no heat shielding unless you camo'd that stuff realllll good:D
Dragon 01-17-2005, 05:12 PM I was wondering what chrome rims would look like....hmmm .....it looks good...
RiPTOR 01-17-2005, 06:07 PM I'm definately liking those rims! Bike is all around beautiful! Nice work...
sirlimpzalot 01-17-2005, 10:37 PM That is definately a good look for that bike, they should have made the swingarm black in the first place
Two4One 01-18-2005, 12:13 AM Thanks everyone. I'm still happy with it after two days :D
Chainstretcher - I haven't had a heat shield on this bike since it had about 300 miles on it. It now has 5300 and I haven't a problem with heat whatsoever. The Yosh pipe comes with a nice stick on heat shield that you can use but I didn't bother based on previous experience. I might put it on when my carbon fiber Yosh system arrives - still on back order
CivicRacerX7 01-18-2005, 03:34 AM yea the black looks great!
NeonspeedRT 01-18-2005, 04:55 PM Hats off to you. That is one clean cbr. I like the chrome rims and black swing arm. It comes together nicely. Well done. [8D]
well the yosh pipe does stick out a tad bit more than stock so it wont melt the tail light
reevesna 01-29-2005, 12:04 AM decent look man...i got the same idea a while back about the black powder coat and just got the bike outta the trailer...shoved much snow...and got it around to the basement to get it apart...had i known it was such an ordeal to take the rear end apart i may have rethought this...but i'm halfway there now so no turnnin back...if they had just put a damn masterlink in the stock chain i prolly would have had it all apart today...well after seein urs kinda inspires me more...
900RRCBR 01-30-2005, 03:25 PM Damn your bike looks great! How much did the whole upgrading costs? You better have a damn good alarm paging system.
stephen4785 01-31-2005, 04:54 AM Are those stock-chromed rims?
I love the wheels.Bike looks great.
repsol73 02-03-2005, 03:52 PM Looks sweeeeeet!!! Great job. What kind of fender eliminator is that? I like it
speedygonzalez954RR 02-05-2005, 09:04 PM bitchin! good job. keep it up. cbr already looks awesome stock, but what you did, just gave me a hard on faster than I could say "VIAGRA" :) he he So what ya waitin for? might as well, reap the rewards of such painstaking achievement. Start cruisin and show off!!! you've earned it, man! :D guess, next time around, it's my turn(not done yet) had to stop putting all the goodies on my '03 954 so I can pay off my '05 repsol before the end of this month, or at least get it almost paid off so I won't have to take out a big loan.
speedygonzalez954RR 02-05-2005, 09:24 PM here's a pic of my repsol in my dealer's showroom in Lynwood, Wa.
