I am thinking about when I have my bike painted the have the intake tube covers (The gray covers on each side of the tank) but was wondering if anyone had ever painted them. I am trying to gauge how well the paint would stick to that. Just wondering thanks

 

i haven't but my friend did on his red/white f4i...it looked good but as time went on it started to crak.

 

i have mine painted and they got bout 6k since painted no probs and it really cleans up the look of the bike

I had mine painted a gloss black for a smoother cleaner look, I think they came out good. dont mind the red on the tank I still need to have that taken care of. I just slapped these on to give you a pic so you could see what it would look like.

I painted mine as well.....and the look great. No chipping at all. I primed, painted 4 coats, and did 2 clear coats. I really want to redo it with a camo look but I dont know if it will blend with the rest of the bike.

 

Thanks man, I cant wait to see it completeeither lol. I should have my sprocket tomarrow then its off to the shop for the finishing touches except the tank I am going to have that done over the winter I think. I will post pics when I get it back.

 

mine is painted i recomend EVERYONE do it becasue the stock looks terrible
